Preschool Group and Individual Programs: Ages 2-5
M&Ms: PK Music and Movement Programs!
We offer fun, hands-on, theme-based music and movement small group programs for preschool children ages 2-5! Our programs consist of approximately a half hour of "station/center" time with hands-on, interactive activities, and a half hour of music with movement, puppets, and musical instruments! Programs address California Desired Results Developmental Profile - Preschool© (2010) Correlates in the following domain areas: Self and Social Development; Language and Literacy Development; English Language Development; Cognitive Development; Mathematical Development; and Physical Development. We are able to come to your preschool or special event, or you can make the program a part of your visit to Hinterland!
Health, Wellness, and Movement Program - I like to move it move it!
This is a fun, interactive, social, fine, gross, and perceptual motor and movement small group program! Children work on physical skills such as balance, bilateral coordination, visual-motor control, and body and spacial awareness, as well as social, health, and wellness skills. This is a multi-sensory Physical Education program that addresses California Desired Results Developmental Profile - Preschool© (2010) Correlates in the following domain areas: Self and Social Development; English Language Development; Cognitive Development; Mathematical Development; Physical Development; and Health. The program is designed to prepare children for the physical, cognitive, attentional, and social skills necessary for success in their everyday activities, learning, and in preparation for kindergarten. Number, length, and location of each session is scheduled based on the needs of the individual/small group and scheduling availability.
Get Set For School Pre-K Readiness, Writing, and Literacy Program - Handwriting Without Tears!
This is a fun, multi-sensory program that combines music, movement, and art while introducing the letters for individual or small group sessions for preschool children ages 2-5! Activities develop important social-emotional skills, including body awareness, taking turns, and sharing. We work on understanding concepts such as size, shape, and position for pre-writing, sensory motor skills, coloring skills, and build beginning habits for letter and number formations. We work on developing sound, language, letter, word, and literacy skills as well. Multisensory activities and materials will teach children alphabet knowledge, phonological awareness, comprehension, writing, and basic concepts about print. Program also includes gross and sensory-motor activities to prepare the body and mind for learning and engagement. Number, length, and location of each session is scheduled based on the needs of the individual/small group and scheduling availability.
Pre-K Math Program - Handwriting Without Tears!
